Welcome to Thrive Psychology
As a trauma-informed psychologist in Hawaii, I support adults facing the emotional impact of stress, trauma, and betrayal. If you’re here, you may be dealing with anxiety or fear that feels easily triggered. As a result, you might get pulled back into painful memories, even when you don’t want to. In those moments, it can feel like the experience is happening all over again. You may also find yourself blaming yourself for what happened or how you responded. At the same time, you might long for closeness yet pull away because of past stress, trauma, or betrayal.
Trauma-Informed Psychologist in Hawaii
I’m Allison Aosved, and I help adults in Hawaii, Illinois, and Washington work through stress, trauma, and betrayal. For many people, these experiences create patterns of self‑doubt, withdrawal, or avoidance. They may also lead to painful cycles of anxiety, worry, sadness, guilt, anger, or shame.

What I Bring to Individual Therapy
With more than 20 years of experience, I work as a trauma‑informed psychologist in Hawaii, Illinois, and Washington, supporting adults as they process the emotional impact of stress, trauma, and betrayal. I specialize in evidence-based treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. My approach is science‑backed, time‑limited, collaborative, and tailored to your identities, culture, and values.
What I Bring to Organization Work
I partner with organizations, teams, and leaders to strengthen trauma‑informed care and improve psychological safety. In this work, I support workforce wellbeing through program development, implementation facilitation, and training in evidence‑based psychotherapies like Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). With more than two decades in complex systems, I help organizations build sustainable and culturally responsive practices that support both clients and the people who serve them.
Growth and Change
Together we can support healing and change. For individuals, this may mean reclaiming your life from trauma, stress, or betrayal. For organizations, it may involve strengthening psychological safety and trauma‑informed care. In both cases, you can move toward a way of living and working that feels grounded, connected, and meaningful.
