Welcome to Thrive Psychology
If you’re here, you might be dealing with anxiety and fear that feel easily triggered. You may find yourself pulled back into painful memories—even when you’d rather not—feeling as though the experience is happening all over again and blaming yourself for what happened or how you responded. You may long for closeness yet notice yourself pulling away from others because of past experiences with stress, trauma or betrayal.
I’m Dr. Allison Aosved
I help adults of all genders and ages in Hawaii, Illinois, and Washington work through stressors, traumas, and betrayals that keep them stuck in patterns of self‑doubt, withdrawal, and avoidance, and caught in painful cycles of anxiety, worry, sadness, guilt, anger, and shame.
What I Bring to Individual Therapy
I have more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals as they work through the emotional impact of stressors, traumas, and betrayals. I specialize in evidence-based treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety. My approach is science‑backed, time‑limited, collaborative, and tailored to your identities, culture, and values.
What I Bring to Organization Work
I partner with organizations, teams, and leaders to strengthen trauma‑informed care, improve psychological safety, and support workforce wellbeing. My work includes program development, implementation facilitation, and training and consultation in evidence‑based psychotherapies such as Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). With more than two decades of experience in complex systems, I help organizations build sustainable, culturally responsive practices that support both clients and the people who serve them.
Growth and Change
Together we can support healing and change. Whether you’re an individual reclaiming your life from the effects of trauma, stress, or betrayal—or an organization working to strengthen psychological safety and trauma‑informed care—you can move toward a way of living and working that feels grounded, connected, and meaningful.
