Insurance
I am not in network with any insurance companies.
At Thrive, I have made the intentional choice not to accept insurance, and I want to share why. While insurance can be helpful for many, there are several reasons I believe this decision supports the best interests of clients. Insurance companies often impose limits on the number, length, and frequency of sessions, and restrict the types of therapies available, meaning critical decisions about your treatment are made by an external entity rather than you and your therapist.
Additionally, insurance companies require mental health diagnoses to be reported, which may not align with your personal reasons for seeking therapy and could become a permanent part of your health record.
As a specialist in PTSD treatment, I am able to maintain a deep focus on my area of expertise by not accepting insurance. This also allows me to keep my practice small, meaning I can dedicate the time and attention each of my clients deserves. The quality of care and the individual attention I provide are my top priorities, and by not working with insurance, I can ensure that you receive the best possible treatment tailored to your unique needs.
Out-of-Network Billing
Some insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which may allow you to receive reimbursement for services provided at Thrive. We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly to inquire about your eligibility for these benefits. If you are eligible, ask about the specific coverage and how to access it.
Each month, we provide a Superbill, a document that includes the necessary details of your sessions. This will be available in your patient portal for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and Thrive Psychology does not have any direct interaction with insurance companies regarding reimbursement decisions.
Additionally, for Superbill submission, your insurance company will require a mental health diagnosis, which will be permanently recorded in your medical file. Please consider this when making your treatment decisions.
